Riccardo Blumer is a hands-on designer always experimenting with materials and lightness, the Origami chair made of three aluminum sheets folded and mechanically fastened is a good example of his work.
The results is visually very complex but at the same time it communicates the physical lightness, the research path is definitively worth further exploration.

I wonder how comfortable this chair is ... anyhow I do appreciate the research value of the piece, some designers should put their hands on materials more often and leave the pink suits for clowns.
