Nearly 80 years old but its beauty is still fresh, the Citè armchair designed by Jean Prouve back in 1930 and produced by Vitra is an outstanding piece of furniture; born out of a logical mind that was not married to a specific aesthetic but to the knowledge of the materials and the use of evolving techniques.
A true modernizer, Prouve used bent metal sheet when no one did, and the detail of the leather strap as the armrest is innovative even nowadays.
