Camping Appeal

For the first time the celebrated jeans manufacturer Diesel hits the world of furniture and lighting design, presenting a series of products developed together with Moroso and Foscarini.

The strength of this lamp designed by Diesel's creative team and manufactured by Foscarini is to be found in its casual, somehow irreverent look.
Inspired in the world of campsites, the lamp features a series of details that relate to tents, such as the lampshade made of overlapping pieces of strong textile, strong stitches and big perforations finished with a metal ring.
But the camp lifestyle influence is not merely aesthetical, the typical functional versatility of camping objects has a big imprint in Fork; the metal base rotates into a completely vertical abat-jour position or it bends assuming a typical desk lamp position. The diffuser can also be orientated thanks to a smart mechanism that allows it to rotate 360° around the light bulb.

  • Interview: Eugeni Quitllet
When we first saw his name close to that of Philippe Starck we googled, with no luck. There was no human trace of Eugeni Quitllet and we thought, for a brief moment, that he could be an invention, some sort of imaginary alter ego created by his famously provocative partner. But shortly after all this revealed to be a product of our unquiet imagination: he is for real, thank goodness.
